Holiday Savings: Bake without breaking the bank

Ahh, the holiday baking. You like it, hate it, but anyway you look at it you have to. Here are some ways to sweeten the expense:

Wax or parchment paper is your friend! Besides using their creations while baking Christmas can also be used to wrap their baked goods. After wrapping in wax paper, put a bow or a ribbon around the package to be festive.

Check the coupons in the Sunday newspaper. If you really want to spend the money on holiday themes Ziploc, or just need a vanilla extract, has been a lot of coupons lately. So if you normally do not clip you want to make an exception when you stock up on supplies.

Pricing that is for you. One year I went to Costco and they had three loaves of bread on vacation for $ 10. That comes out to about $ 3 bread. I broke the set and repackaged for friends and family.

Make them do the work. Get some glass jars and put together a mixture of dry ingredients for your favorite browser. Write the recipe and give it to bake cookies when they have exhausted all other holiday candies.
