ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has contacted MQM chief Altaf Hussain and called for inclusion of the MQM in the federal cabinet.
Gilani also expressed grief over the killings of a former MQM MPA and other party workers.
The prime minister said that some elements are trying to hurt the coalition of PPP and MQM but any move against this alliance will be made unsuccessful.
Gilani also took the MQM chief into confidence over current negotiations with the PML-Q.
Altaf Hussain said that he would put the rejoining issue to the MQM Rabita Committee. The MQM chief also inquired about the health of the prime minister’s son.
