Sindh CM approves hike of Rs 2 in public transport

 KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has approved the summary of Transport Department seeking hike of Rs 2 in public transport fares.

According to the press secretary of chief minister, the summary of hike in public transport fares has been approved by Qaim Ali Shah, adding that the notification in this regard is expected to be issued by Transport Department on Friday.

President of Karachi Transport Ittehad Irshad Bukhari hailed the approval of the summary. He also urged Transport Department to issue notification immediately otherwise the decision regarding strike on April 16 would remain effective.
