Shaheed ZA Bhutto’s 32nd death anniversary today

Apr 3 (APP): The 32nd death anniversary of PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto will be observed across the country on Monday.  The main ceremony will be held in Garhi Khuda Bux, the final resting place of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who sacrificed his life for democracy instead of bowing down to a dictator. Hundreds of thousands of Bhutto lovers including senior PPP leaders have started reaching Larkana, Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bux to attend the anniversary.
They also visited the grave of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and laid floral wreath and offered Fateha. President Zardari also recited from the Holy Quran. He also visited the graves of Shaheed Murtaza Bhutto, Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto, laid wreaths and offered Fateha.
Every street of Garhi Khuda Bux has been decorated with PPP flags and banners  inscribed with slogans “ Jeay Bhutto” and “ Zinda Hai BB Zinda Hai”. The day long ceremonies in Garhi Khuda Bux will start with Qur’an Khawani at the mausoleum of the PPP founder on Monday morning.  Thousands of people were seen standing in queues on Sunday to visit the last resting places of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, his martyred daughter Benazir Bhutto, and his sons Shahnawaz Bhutto and Murtaza Bhutto.
“Bhutto is the symbol of courage and he struggled for the democracy in Pakistan and sacrificed his life for the same cause”, Chairman Senate Farooq H. Naek said after reaching in Garhi Khuda Bux to attend the anniversary.
Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Ali Mirza has directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh to take extra-security measures for fool-proof security arrangements in respect of 32nd death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
“Blanket cover by the police is a need of the hour to tackle any security situation,” he added in his directive to the IGP.
A provincial government official said that elaborate security measures have been made and Sindh government has deployed some 6,000 policemen for vigilance. Besides, more than 500 Rangers and commandos will  perform their duties.
The official said scanners had been installed at the entry point and visitors were being frisked if required. Around 40 acres of land have been allocated for parking of 10000 vehicles some 4 to 6 kilometers away from public gathering.
The organizing committee has set up separate camps for the accommodation and reception of workers and leaders arriving here from across the country. The Sindh government announced a public holiday on the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on April, 4 across the province. The holiday will be observed in all provincial government offices, autonomous, semi autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of Government of Sindh. In Islamabad, a ceremony will be held at the PPP central secretariat to observe the death anniversary ofZulfikar Ali Bhutto. The ceremony will start with Qur’an Khawani and prominent PPP leaders will highlight achievements and services of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in their speeches.
All the arrangements have been completed to observe 32nd death anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto at Jinnah Park Rawalpindi (Old jail) on Monday. Member Central Executive Committee, Qazi Sultan Mehmood said that Qur’an Khawani will be held at 10 a.m. and ‘Dua’ will be offered at 1.pm.
The local leadership will attend the ceremony and highlight the  achievements of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who struggled hard for the democracy in the country and sacrificed his life for the people of Pakistan.Later, ‘Bhutto Lungar’ will also be distributed on the occasion.
Various programs including seminars, workers’ convention have also been chalked out in different parts of the country pay tribute to Quaid-e-Awan.
Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television have also made arrangements for special transmission. The special transmission will highlight the life, struggle, services and revolutionary achievements of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The Directorate of Film and Publication (DFP) of Press Information Department (PID) has prepared volumes of speeches of President Asif Ali Zardari in English, Sindhi and Urdu languages for distribution on the occasion of death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto at Naudero.
