Tour of the Fireflies is an annual event which promotes the use of bicycles.
At least 15,000 cyclists took part in the 13th Tour of the Fireflies in Manila, on Sunday. The cyclists covered 42 kilometres in the parade to promote the use of bicycles as an environment friendly and sustainable means of transportation.
The event takes place along with other festivities to mark the Earth Day. The cyclists cover 42 kilometres in the parade.
The event was in support of the Environmentally Sustainable Transportation (EST) plan for Metro Manila to address traffic and air pollution.
