Mullen: Pak-US cannot afford ties to come apart

The United States and Pakistani leaders agree that they cannot afford to let security ties unravel.

US Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman Mike Mullen said that the currently relations between Pakistan and the United States are passing through turbulent times but despite the tension both the countries are looking to establish strong relations.

Talking to the media in Kabul, Mike Mullen said that tension in relations between Pakistan and the United states would be dangerous for the whole region.

Mullen said that despite the tensions, the US cannot terminate relations with Pakistan. He said that the US will continue military training for Pakistan. Mullen also said that during his visit to Pakistan, he would meet with the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
