Karachi violence on rise; 5 shot dead


 
KARACHI: A clash of two groups in Ayub Goath area over wall chalking and hoisting party flags has sent the situation in tension and chaos as the scuffle followed indiscriminate firing, Geo News reported Wednesday.

As many as five persons have been killed amid deadly incidents of violence in separate parts of metropolis occurred all the day.

Dead include a schoolteacher and four alleged activists of political parties, police sources said.

The most tensed areas where the firing incidents still continue were Gulistan-e-Johar, Sohrab Goath, Ayub Goath, Mominabad, Faqir Colony, Liyari, Baghdadi and Lee Market.

According to police sources, those killed were identified as Sana Zahra (21), Mama Shahbo, Hazrat Ali, Abdul Wahab and Irfan.

Dead bodies have been deposited to Civil Hospital for autopsy.
