Saturday Morning Wisconsin News Headlines

Here is the latest Wisconsin news from The Associated Press

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The hotly disputed collective bargaining bill that Republican Gov. Scott Walker signed into law cannot be implemented. A Wisconsin judge issued a temporary restraining order blocking the law in response to a plea by a Democratic District Attorney.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has released tens of thousands of e-mails he received after introducing his plan to strip nearly all collective bargaining rights from public workers. He turned the e-mails loose yesterday after The Associated Press and the Madison weekly newspaper Isthmus filed a lawsuit demanding them.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — University of Wisconsin administrators are reminding employees not to use their state e-mail accounts and computers for political purposes. A flurry of e-mails last week by UW Colleges and Extension faculty caused university relations director Teri Venker to remind employees to do their political organizing on their own time.

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — Three people from central Wisconsin have been charged in a statewide prostitution ring. Prosecutors say three 17-year-old girls told police they worked as prostitutes for the trio. A criminal complaint says the girls were taken to Milwaukee, Green Bay, Appleton and Wausau to have sex with customers.
